Four SNSD members spotted with chic outfits at various fashion shows

The ladies of SNSD have been popping into numerous fashion events for Seoul Fashion Week, and as always, they were toasted as utterly chic and stylish.

Sooyoung was spotted at the SETEC center yesterday for the 2011-2012 F/W Seoul Fashion Walk. She was personally invited by designer Song JahEen.

Fashionistas noticed that she opted for a casual look by wearing a khaki sundress over a sheer top. Her canvas shoes and hobo bag also lent an air of relaxed fashion.

Meanwhile, Yoona, Seohyun, and Hyoyeon were seen at the MCM 2011 S/S fashion show at the Lotte Hotel. Seohyun donned an outfit that focused on textures and patterns, while giving off a youthful exuberance. Yoona played it simple and clean, but the full zipper in the front gave an air of subtle sexiness. As for Hyoyeon, she wore an ultra-mini dress that played with sleek cuts at the back.

A-list stars attend MCM’s ‘2011 Spring/Summer collection’ launch party

Thanks to Seoul’s Fashion Week, a bevy of glamorous events have been springing up like bejewelled flowers to celebrate new collections and designs.

One such event was the ‘MCM 2011 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION’ launch party, which attracted the hottest stars to the Lotte Hotel on March 31st.

The new collection draws on the theme ‘Munich Breeze’, and is inspired by Munich, Germany of the ’60s and ’70s. MCM brand ‘DNA‘ added a modern twist to the style, and delivered looks that were chic with a slight vintage touch.

Stars who attended the show included Ricky Kim, Yoo In Young, SNSD (Yoona, Seohyun, Hyoyeon), TVXQ, MBLAQ, and many more.

SNSD’s Jessica walked her very first runway for Lee Juyoung’s fashion show for the 2011/12 Seoul Fashion Week at Seoul’s SETEC Center on March 29th.

She’s been rumored to have received a number of offers from fashion designers who noticed her great personal style. It’s also being reported that she’s definitely kept up with the professional models.

Jessica wore the line, ‘Resurrection BY JUYOUNG‘, from the designer who created pieces for Marilyn Manson, the Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga.

Actor Jung Gyu Woon also walked the runway while singer G.NA was among the audience.

Jessica Makes her Runway Debut at Seoul Fashion Week

Jessica is going to be on stage at a fashion show for the first time today.

She will be going to the Seoul Trade and Exhibition Center where the 2011/12 F/W Seoul Fashion Week will be held at 12 PM on March 29th. The stage will be the unveiling of popular designer Lee Juyoung’s “Resurrection” fashion line.

Jessica, who has quite an unusual fashion sense, has been the interest of a variety of designers. She will be making her debut on the runway, showing off her confident and colorful side in the process, and look like a pro model decorating the runway.

Lee Juyoung, the designer, is a rising star in the fashion industry, desigining clothes for stars such as Marilyn Manson, The Black Eyed Peas, and Lady Gaga.

Food expenses of K-Pop’s two biggest agencies, SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment, will be revealed.

On cable TV channel SBS E!TV, StarQ10 will be talking about the food expenses of SM and JYP’s trainees and artistes.

Furthermore, StarQ10 visited the restaurant SNSD and 2PM go to frequently. These the two groups are known for their huge appetites.  They wanted to find out who among these two groups actually eat more. In addition, StarQ10 will also be talking about 10 things that the public are most curious about the two big entertainment agencies, SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment.

The result of SNSD and 2PM’s food expenses shall be revealed on March 30th at 7:30pm KST.

Intel Korea revealed Visual Dreams MV in 3D to selected guests

On March 26th, more than 900 clients and Intel staffs were invited to a cinema party at Korea’s first IMAX theatre, CGV Yongsan in Seoul. According to Intel Korea on March 27th, the 3D version of SNSD-Intel Collaboration Music Video ‘Visual Dreams’ was revealed at the event.

First introduced in conjunction with Intel’s launching of the 2nd Generation Core Processor, the ‘Visual Dreams’ music video was being presented again, but this time, in 3D.

Chief of Intel Korea, Lee Heesung said, “Creating the public’s understanding as well as the awareness of the complexity of Intel’s technology was communicated easily through collaboration with SNSD”.

Girls' Generation, 3 Months Since the End of 'Hoot' Promotions.. What are They Doing Now?

It's been 3 months since 9-member girl group Girls' Generation ended their 'Hoot' promotions. There has been great interest on what they have been doing in recent days.

Girls' Generation struck the music industry last October with 'Hoot'. They are currently taking a break from promotions in Korea after 2010's year end performances on all 3 of the major broadcasting channels.

However, being the most popular girl group, Girls' Generation is still busy.

Since the end of 'Hoot' promotions up until the devastating earthquake in Japan, the girls not only promoted in Japan, but they also filmed several commercials in Korea.

SM Entertainment, the music label Girls' Generation is currently in, revealed that on the 28th that "Girls' Generation is still actively filming commercials for Intel, Woongjin Coway water purifier, Vita500, etc".

Also, they mentioned that "The third single 'Mr.Taxi' will be released in Japan on April 13th. Not only are we planning on promotions for this single, we are also planning several other future albums that will be released in Japan."

SM added "The Girls' Generation members are still busy after 'Hoot' promotions, and are still living their every day lives productively."

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation appeared in the MBC Special Hallyu Concert this past month alongside TVXQ, Wonder Girls and other artists.

‘Himnae’, the song of hope and courage

Netizens selected SNSD’s ‘Himnae (Way To Go)’ as the best song that could provide hope as well as courage to people who are feeling down, depressed or suffering from disasters like the massive earthquake that shook Northeastern Japan recently.

Music site, Monkey3 conducted a survey entitled ‘What are the songs that provide hope and courage?’ from March 17th to 23rd. SNSD’s ‘Himnae’ received overwhelming support from netizens where it was ranked 1st with 253 votes (40%). ‘Himnae’ was released in 2009 and it was one of the songs in SNSD’s 1st Mini Album ‘Gee’. The song is special such that it could provide ‘energy’ and brighten up the mood of a depressed or disheartened person.

Kim Soohyun’s ‘Dreaming’, the OST of KBS drama ‘Dream High’ took the 2nd spot with 181 votes (29%) while In SoonI’s ‘Goose’s Dream’ came in 3rd with 71 votes (11%). Big Bang’s ‘Oh My Friend’ secured the 4th spot with 55 votes (9%), followed by Jaurim’s ‘Ha Ha Ha Song’ in 5th with 44 votes (5%) and Roller Coaster’s ‘Cheer Up, Mr Kim’ in 6th with 31 votes (5%).

Anything different to YoonA’s photo after being edited using Photoshop?

Recently, on online community, netizens uploaded a photoshoped Yoona’s cosmetic CF photo and compared it to the original photo. Much to the amazement of netizens, there is almost no difference between the original (non-edited) and the photoshoped photo.

However, in the original photo, the color tone of YoonA’s neck is rather different from her overall skin color. With some amazing photo editing skill, the differences were minimized and the color tone seems to be more ‘natural’.

In reaction to this, netizens commented, “For YoonA there’s not even a need for Photoshop”, “How can this happen? I can’t even believe this”, “She’s really the one and only Goddess.”, etc

Which idols do the middle-aged ladies love the most?

On the March 24th broadcast of Y-Star’s “Wonder About That“, investigators targeted middle-aged women (a.k.a. ajummas) and polled them to see which idols were the most loved by their group.

The program surveyed 300 women, all between the ages of 40-60 years, and asked, “Who is the top idol?” Through this survey, the ajummas were able to show that idol-love wasn’t just restricted to teenagers and young adults.
Of all the idol groups, SNSD placed 1st, with 102 out of 300 votes. Breaking it down individually, SNSD’s Yoona came in 1st place because of her acting appearances through dramas. 2AM’s Jokwon placed 2nd because of his kkab dance and his cuteness. In 3rd place was SNSD’s Yuri because ajummas wanted to have her as their daughter-in-law.

Yoona’s “all-kill” graduation photo

Apparently, netizens think you can “all-kill” just about anything, even graduation photos.

On an internet community board, a recent picture titled, “Yoona all-kill” has been gaining popularity, which appears to have come originally from a Japanese magazine.  The compiled images are from the graduation pictures of various Japanese idol singers and actresses, but what caught the eyes of netizens was a picture of SNSD’s Yoona.  The 22-year old is known for her natural good looks, but after seeing her large graduation picture in the Japanese magazine alongside other popular Japanese celebrities, fans are speculating that Yoona is gaining popularity in Japan as well.

Netizens commented, “This is really outstanding“, “This is truly an ‘all-kill’“, “I don’t even see the other Japanese idols“.

Netizens discover SNSD’s ‘My Best Friend’ dance rehearsal video

Last year, SNSD released a song titled ‘My Best Friend‘ when they were making their comeback with ‘Hoot‘.  Although they performed the former track on a music program only once, the song and the performance received a lot of attention.

YoonA: Goddess on the outside, Buddha on the inside

Former trainee of SM Entertainment who entered Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Jang Hajin mentioned about YoonA in her autobiography.

While in the 3rd year of middle school, Jang Hajin was preparing to debut as a member of SNSD. In a broadcast aired on May 13th last year, when she was asked “Why did you quit the life as a trainee?”, Hajin answered, “I really wanted to study”.

Recently, Jang Hajin published her autobiography entitled ‘소원을 말해 봐 (Tell Me Your Wish)’ and in the autobiography, she talked about her special relationship with YoonA. She described her first impression about YoonA in her book, “When I met sister (unnie) for the first time, I thought she was really pretty. She seemed to look like a Barbie doll. Although she was darker back then, she looked prettier as she gave me an exotic feel to my eyes”.

Also, in her autobiography, she wrote, “I was wondering if she’s a Buddha because she was really kind and easy-going by nature and she never gossiped or spoken ill about others. Within the 3-year training period, I have never seen my sister in an argument or got angry with others. She was the ‘mood maker’ as she did funny acts like immitating gagmen/comedians as well as cheering her juniors on. She did everything the trainers told her to do and her outstanding talent shone.”, praising YoonA’s kind heartedness and amazing personality.

Kim Ah-Joong Wants to be Girls' Generation's 10th Member?

“I want to be Girls’ Generation’s 10th member!”

Kim Ah-Joong confessed her wish to be a member of Girls’ Generation on KBS2’s Entertainment Tonight ‘Guerilla Date’ segment.

The popular actress, most well known for her role in the 2006 movie, “200 Pounds of Beauty” took to the streets of Insa-Dong with the ‘Guerilla Date’ crew to meet with her fans who showed up in flocks to catch a glimpse of the star.

The topic of idol groups arose during the interview, during which Kim Ah-Joong said without hesitation that Girls’ Generation is her favourite. When asked what member she would like to replace in the event that she were to join the group, she replied “How is it possible to leave out a member? Among all nine of them, none can be replaced.” adding, “Instead, I would like to join them as the 10th member.”

With the Girls’ Generation members having watched Kim Ah-Joong’s dramas such as “That Fool” and covering songs from the OST for “200 Pounds of Beauty” such as 'Byul' and 'Beautiful Girl' on several different broadcasts, the girls will definitely be elated to hear that the actress is a fan. A point of interest to note is that Kim Ah-Joong has previously danced and sung to 'Gee' in one of her dramas.

Has SNSD’s Tiffany lost too much weight?
On March 10th, Tiffany was seen leaving Incheon Aiport to attend MBC’s ‘50th Anniversary Hallyu Concert’ in Thailand.

Although many marvelled at her chic airport fashion, many more expressed concern over Tiffany’s health. They felt that Tiffany had lost of cheek fat, and became so skinny that her bones were showing.
